Performance
The Wrangler 4xe will be the most economical and powerful among those already on the market. With its three engines, one gasoline-powered and two electrics, it can travel up to about 40 kilometres in electric mode, but will also stay under 5 L /100 kilometres when the engine battery is discharged. It will be powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged gasoline engine.
Unseen for this model before, the Wrangler 4xe develops 375 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. Jeep promises the same off-road performance as a gas-powered Wrangler, but quieter.
Equipment
This model will be "Trail Rated" and will include a package of accessories that will allow you to handle the most challenging trails, such as reinforced suspension and tires, for example.
Interestingly, the manufacturer has taken care to protect the battery and electrical components from the elements. How do you do this? By placing them inside a watertight case under the rear seats. This allows the vehicle to be submerged in more than 76 centimetres of water without damaging the components. So, you can face all types of conditions with the Wrangler 4xe!
