Why can the "check engine" light be displayed in a vehicle?

Have you noticed this small light in your vehicle and it worries you? Don't panic!

This means that your vehicle is experiencing an anomaly in the management of the various parameters required for the proper functioning of the powertrain or its emission control system. Is it dangerous? Usually not, you can still continue to drive your vehicle. However, if the small light is flashing, it means that there is a bigger problem and you must absolutely have this checked. However, we suggest that you go to a garage, for your safety, regardless of whether the light is flashing or not, as this can lead to more serious problems over time.

But why should you do this? There can be many reasons, here are the most common:

- An improperly replaced gas cap,
- A catalytic system that is ineffective or in poor condition,
- A leak in the exhaust system,
- A vehicle part to be changed.

So you can see that it can be a lot of problems, to be sure, go get it checked, we can't be too careful!
